I often try to avoid debates about who is calling what capitalist or socialist — those labels have been used a million different ways and don’t mean much.
But they do have electoral potency. Perhaps that’s why California Democratic Senator Kamala Harris affirmed that she isn’t a democratic socialist in a recent interview.
But is that really where Democratic voters are? Gallup shows this may be a mistake on Harris’s part:
Young voters across party lines are also much more favorable to socialism.
